Knot-tying Practice

We are planning to offer a one-day GPS course which will teach you the concept of operations used in the Global Positioning System and also how to make the best use of your own Instrument. If you are interested in taking this course, please so indicate by contacting the webmaster.

We also offer a home-study course on CD, called America's Boating Course, which comes with a textbook and virtually unlimited access to a teacher for when you have questions. The price for this course is $35, which includes the proctoring and grading of the test by an instructor. Reduced family rates are available.

As you can see, our flotilla either has a course (or two) underway at any time, or one planned for the near future. Several times a year we teach the Maryland Basic Boating Course, 8 to 10 hours of instruction, which is another way to satisfy the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources boating operation requirement for all boaters born after 1 July 1972.

These courses are free to members, and our dues are likewise $30 per year.
